I was born a "Yankee" and raised a "Southern Belle." I was taught very young to appreciate brown rice and fresh veggies, pure water, meditation and massage. It keeps the body, mind and spirit balanced.
What you put out into the universe will come back to you ten fold. I just want to help people find balance.
My StoryI received my training as a massage therapist at the American Institute of Massage Therapy in Pompano Beach, Florida in 2004. I achieved my certification in 2006. In Georgia, maintaining your license requires continuing education. I most enjoy classes about the brain and have attended four brain classes, “Memory,” ”How the Brain Forms New Habits,” “Why Willpower is not Enough,” “Habits of Happy People,” and “Habits of Stress Resilient People.” I have attended many seminars including “Qigong Massage Therapy” which through research is thought to be beneficial for Autism.
My sister Laura saw a vision of me owning a spa so she sold her house and paid my tuition to massage school. She wanted me to have something after my children were grown. They were in elementary and middle school when I attended massage school at night. I worked cleaning houses during the day while my children were in school.
I sold my home in Florida in May, 2005 and bought my home in Carrollton, Georgia that same month. I responded to an ad for a massage therapist at a chiropractor’s office. I was offered the position but turned it down. I told the chiropractor that I still needed a doctor and became her patient. While I was there as a patient, she asked if I could help her. One therapist was leaving and one was in school, and she needed help for a couple of months. After that period of time, she asked if I would continue to work on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9 am to 2 pm. I stayed with her for nine years. Working at a spa and traveling to clients homes on my own time, I finally decided to start my own business. Wealth, Health and Healing, LLC was born.
